Meet Claire Jackson, the vibrant soul behind the colour tattoos at Artium Ink Studio in Exeter!
As an accomplished tattoo artist, Claire specializes in colour realism and watercolour tattoos.
Claire studied art from an early age, continuing into school, college and university level. She began her Tattooing journey in 2012 and is now Co-owner of Artium Ink in Exeter.

Claire did my tattoo for me December 2023 and it is truly amazing! I sent her some photos of things I liked and explained that I would love a Disney theme in it and the result was beautiful! She is the loveliest lady and made me feel super comfortable throughout. It is my fav tattoo that I have and it’s super personal to me. Thank you 💕

Claire is an amazing artist. I had a beautiful peacock feather design tattooed which is always getting amazing comments when anyone sees it. It’s my second tattoo by Claire and definitely won’t be my last!
Tree stump tattoo
I’m so in love with my tree stump tattoo. Me and my sister got matching tattoos with slight differences, and Claire’s design was better than I could have imagined. She was so accommodating and spent time making small tweaks so that they were both tailored to match our styles. The session was brilliant, not only to be able to share the experience with my sister, but Claire was so lovely, and made me feel so at ease and calm. I was quite nervous going in, but was made to feel so comfortable…It’s genuinely become a core memory for me, and the final piece is more than I had hoped for. Thankyou so much! I love it, and would love to get another with you one day! 😊
Star tattoo
Hey 👋🏻 had my tattoo of my youngest son’s hand and foot prints with a watercolour touch which I absolutely love. I also love the star on my elbow and red water colour touch. I’m booked in again for another and am hoping to be covered eventually if moneys allows! Lovely person and amazing tattooist. I recommend her to everyone as I love the work. Keep up the good work !
Watercolour elephant
I was tattooed by Claire a few years ago for a watercolour elephant, and it’s still by far my favourite tattoo and is the one I get the most compliments on and has remained as bright as the day I got it. Claire was so lovely and so comforting throughout! I’d 100% recommend Claire to ANYONE looking to get amazing quality forever art on their skin they’ll be proud of.
